The diagnosis is only the beginning. Treatment, uncertainty and change ripple into sleep, digestion, mood, work and home. If these feel familiar, you are not imagining them.
Fear and uncertaintyShock after diagnosis, fear of recurrence, thoughts that loop through the night.
Deep fatigueA tiredness that sleep doesn't fix and that quietly cancels your plans.
Broken sleepPain, worry and medicines keep the mind awake and the body unrested.
Appetite and digestionNausea, taste changes, a heavy stomach and a liver working overtime.
Pain and numbnessAches, tingling or burning that wear down patience and hope.
Low mood and lonelinessSadness, anger or numbness, and a feeling that no one quite understands.
Lowered immunityFrequent infections, slower recovery and constant caution.
Changes in body and self-imageHair loss, scars, weight changes and a stranger in the mirror.
Family and money strainExhausted caregivers, strained relationships and the rising cost of care.
Medicine treats the disease. Wellness looks after the person living through it. That is where we begin.
Head of the Shiva Science Meditation Ashram, Dhamse, Goa
Bhaiyaji guides seekers inward. His programmes draw on India's ancient sciences of the seven chakras, the nadis, Kundalini and the five elements, and he meets every person with an open heart, whatever they are carrying.
For those living with cancer, he offers a calm place to set fear down and unhurried spiritual guidance, alongside the care your doctors provide.
Fear, a tired gut and a restless mind shape how every day of treatment feels. We start at the root, with three foundations.
Guided meditation that quiets fear and gives racing thoughts somewhere to rest.
Breath and chakra practices that support your vitality when fatigue sets in.
Ayurvedic routines for digestion, appetite and the liver, shaped around your treatment.
A step-by-step course in simple practices you can do from a chair, a bed or a quiet corner of home.
Settling the stormA daily meditation to ease fear, anxiety and the endless "what if".
Breath for energyGentle breathing and chakra practices to support you through fatigue.
Eating and digesting with careAyurvedic food and digestion routines for appetite, comfort and the liver, planned around your oncologist's advice.
Rest and deep sleepAn evening wind-down that helps the mind let go of the day.
Releasing what weighs on the heartHeart-centred practice for grief, anger, guilt and the fear of what comes next.
For the family and caregiversPractices that keep the people giving care steady, rested and hopeful.
Ayurvedic guidance
B.A.M.S., M.D. & Ph.D. in Ayurveda
Medical grounding alongside the meditation sittings. The resident physician at the Goa Ashram, Dr. Redkar brings modern medical training and deep spiritual practice to bear on the same patient. Across 18 years in Goa, Maharashtra and Kerala, she has practised Ayurveda, taught as a professor and contributed to Ayurvedic research.
Her approach is holistic by training as much as by inclination, working with NLP, aura reading and Nadi Pariksha alongside her clinical grounding, and returning often to gut health, the liver and digestion, where so much of everyday wellbeing begins.
Her aim here: to explain what is happening in plain language, to shape Ayurvedic lifestyle support around your treatment rather than against it, and to make sure no patient or family member feels alone with their questions.
